Properties:NH4SCN,a colorless crystalline or column crystal that is soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, pyridine, acetone & ammonia and insoluble in ethyl acetate, methyl chloride and chloroform; at 140οC  bring  thiourea.  melts at 149.6οC. .thermal decomposition at 170οC may produce highly toxic fumes of hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide and toxic oxides of nitrogen, sulfur, and carbon.
 
Uses:material of manufacturing pesticides of Rice such as MBAMT, leaf blight Ning, buprofezin, tricyclazole and aniline thiocyanateand so on. material of hydrogen peroxide, polymerization catalyst of dyes andorganic synthesis. Raw materials for the manufacture of cyanide, iron cyanide and thiourea, as well as the coagulant of coating printing in the printing and dyeing of fabrics, developer of vapor printing, a rust inhibitor of zinc primer zinc, adhesive of rare metals, also used in analyzing reagents and photography.

Storage:Store away from incompatible substances. Keep in a tightly closed bags. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area to prevent it from being deliquescent. Separated from acids, bases and oxidants.
